About

I’m a California-based audio engineer, with a focus on hardware-based electronic music. Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worn many hats including tracking, mixing, mastering, consulting, and collaborating with industry leaders like Apple, MOTU, and TC Electronic. I have also produced training videos for major DAW software companies.

Throughout my journey as an electronic musician, I found myself always gravitating towards hardware in my studio as result of hearing how much better it sounded in the mix compared to digital recreations. However, in 2020, I found myself needing to work remotely, and I wanted to have access to my hardware without having to lug expensive and rare music equipment to sessions, or just to write demos in hotels. I realized that since the solution didn’t exist to my dilemma, I decided to create the solution. So I started sampling my favorite studio gear — Roland SH-101, SH-2, SH-09, TR-606, Oberheim DX, and other vintage hardware through both high end preamps, processed with effects, and raw. I then used these samples to create Ableton Sampler instruments and Drum Racks that could be easily dragged into any project read to go.

Another concern of mine was not having too many choices in order to avoid the ‘analyze paralyze’ conundrum – when producers are faced with too many choices they tend to waste time. The main goal was a quick workflow that needed very little in the way of processing, and sounded just like the hardware. Each pack is curated out of thousands of sounds and I only sell what I actually use. These samples are unique to my packs and nothing out there is going to sound like them. There are no substitutes. Take the dive and put these packs to work for you on your next track, and hear and feel the difference. And just like my sample packs.. NONE of this was written with or by AI. Happy music making!
