About

I’m a California-based audio engineer specializing in synth-based productions, with an emphasis on Post-Punk and Minimal Electronic music. I’ve been working in audio production for over 25 years, including collaborations with Apple, MOTU, and TC Electronic

In 2020, I needed a more mobile workflow but didn’t want to haul rare hardware everywhere. Soft synths and commercial sample packs weren’t inspiring me the way my hardware did. So I started sampling my own gear: Roland SH-101, SH-2, SH-09, TR-606, Oberheim DX, and other vintage hardware, running everything through my outboard processors.

The results were immediate. I could work anywhere with the sounds I actually wanted, and I finished more songs. The workflow freed me to focus on creativity rather than technical setup. After refining the process and getting positive feedback from other artists, I started offering these sounds publicly.

Each library is recorded, processed, and curated by hand. No shortcuts. Years working in electronic music taught me that producers need sonically interesting material with character and depth—sounds that inspire, not just fill space.

When you purchase from Heretical Audio, you’re supporting independent creation and the belief that great audio deserves to be made by hand, one sample at a time.
