If you’re reading this post then you probably know about the much revered discontinued CamelCrusher plugin by Camel Audio. While it still enjoys mythical status amongst producers for its’ unique distortion, analog style filter, and compression, it is no longer supported as Apple bought out Camel Audio in 2015.
You also may be aware of the well known bug in Ableton 11, and later versions, where the GUI of CamelCrusher is just a black screen, hence crippling the interface. The good news is, I have released an Ableton Rack for Camel Crusher that solves the issue of the ‘blank screen’ bug. And I’ve made it a free download in this blog post.
The download features:
An Ableton Rack ADG file for Camel Crusher that that solves the issue of the ‘blank screen’ bug. In addition, you can use this Rack to randomly generate an endless library of your own CamelCrusher presets. This is compatible with Ableton Live version 11.2.10 or later. I created it in Ableton Suite and have not tested it with the Lite or Standard versions, but I’m assuming it works fine.
The download ZIP file also include a free copy of the CamelCrusher plugin software for Mac OS in AU, VST, and AAX format, as well as the PDF manual.
